Angel/Eve – Addiction
It is an addiction now. A warm human, one he never has to worry about losing his soul with, someone who doesn’t expect a semblance of a relationship, or even kind words. Just a warm body he can lose himself in. Close his eyes and pretend that he is someone else, that the person beneath him cares, that his life has meaning and that somehow he is still a champion. In his soul he knows everything he has done wrong. He plays his actions over in his mind, a constant feedback. How he lost Buffy, his son, Cordy…
The thoughts hurt too much, and he sets a punishing pace: taking her, losing himself in the heat; closing his eyes, listening to her breathing, and her soft moans.
He wishes he was elsewhere. Yet he fears he can never leave.
